I was completely unprepared.  You would think that after all the hours I’d spent with Helena — watching her talk and laugh and frown — that I would know all there is to know about her lips.  But I hadn’t imagined how warm they would feel pressed against my own.  Or how those hands, which could break the nastiest of thugs’ kneecaps, could as easily make me weak in mine.

Dick as Katniss and Helena as Gale.  I don’t know what I’m doing with my life.

I…I don’t know how to feel. But it’s perf.

So, does this make Barbara Peeta?

This watch belonged to my father. It’s broken now, but it used to keep perfect time. And when he gave it to me, he said that you could set your heart by this watch. It stopped October 1st. The day we met.

Sherlock/Harry Potter recasting.

File under: things I did not know I wanted.

Isn’t it Jim Moriarty?

No, Jim is short for James.

YES. YES YES YES. GIVE IT TO ME NOW.

Yes!Yes!Yes!Yes!Yes! Dan and Emma playing Sherlock and Irene trying to outwit each other with Rupert as John half annoyed, half not understanding what they are talking about. My DREW heart needs this right now!

“Reblog” for Harmony; “Like” for Romione

Dan and Emma destroying props and settings from 2000 to 2010. I specially love Emma’s face when she realized that Dan broke the fence.

Sometimes I hate my shipping googles because I think the sentiment of the set is wonderful and quite important thematically to the series, but the fact that the three gifs of Hermione with Harry are probably the 3 top moments of Harmony makes me crumble in a pool of FEELS.

These three moments are all about Harry and Hermione comforting each other and getting strength from each other and being there for each other. It just show how they became on the course of the series each other’s rock and anchor and foundation.

I just… I can’t!

loving-in-harmony:

I was watching a video and saw this.

I think Dan and Emma ship it themselves. Only they don’t realize it. ;)

I just went through your whole HHr tag because I needed the feels. And now I feel like a stalker. I'm really not.

Feel free to stalk, I don’t mind, although everything in here is reblogged from other much better tumblrs than my own.

Thanks for the following. :)

#i feel like a lot of people try and turn the hunger games into some big katniss picking between peeta and gale when in reality the entire book is katniss making her choice over and over again. prim. it’s always prim. the only person she KNOWS she loves.

Hmmm…. I semi agree with this. It definitely is about Prim in the first book, or at least for most of the first book. But as the books go on and especially in the Quarter  Quell, it definitely seems to be more about Peeta.
There are a few times when arguably she chooses Peeta OVER Prim. Like in the first Games when she risks her life to get his medicine and at the end with the berries. I think people forget the risk she was taking then - the Capitol could have called her bluff and let them eat the berries, or unleashed another horror on her as Snow says they should have done in book 2. There was a very good chance she could have died right then, or when Clove attacked her. And then what would happen to Prim?
And then in Catching Fire she’s actually willing to sacrifice her life for Peeta. She’s determined that Peeta should win and, as she knows they’ll only allow one Victor, she knows she has to die. In fact, I love the scene where Peeta gives her the locket. Then, he’s basically bribing her to let him die so she can go back home and be with Prim, her mother and Gale. But even then, she’s still adamant it should be Peeta who survives. So then, I think Katniss is choosing Peeta over Prim, her mother and Gale.
Of course, Prim isn’t just going to die, but Katniss has always been fiercely protective of Prim and it’s clear in the books she’s worried about who will look after Prim. She tries to win for Prim, so that she can continue helping and protecting her. Yet in the Quarter Quell, it’s Peeta who she is determined will survive, not herself - though Prim’s situation remains largely the same.
And then there’s that scene in Mockingjay, where Peeta is having an episode and Katniss kisses him to try and bring him back. She knows it could be suicide, but she does it anyway - risks her life once again to save Peeta.
So, tl;dr, I do think Katniss often chooses Prim, but there are moments when I think what Katniss does for Peeta is much more than what Katniss does for Prim, so I do think that she does choose Peeta.
By volunteering to take Prim’s place in the first Games, she’s RISKING her life - there’s still the chance she can live.
By doing all she can to make Peeta the victor in the second Games, she’s SACRIFICING her life - she knows she will have to die for him to live.
I do agree though that the way the love triangle is depicted in the fandom and media is annoying. I don’t think there really is one in the books - just Katniss being confused and unable to accept for a long, long time that she is falling in love with the boy with the bread.

^^^ Yep.
What the OP says is only true as far as the motivation for the first book is concerned. The trilogy starts out with Prim being the only person Katniss is sure she loves, but by the end of the trilogy, she is sure she loves Peeta, too. And despite the fact that after everything, Prim died anyway, Katniss was able to pick carry on and have a life with Peeta. It’s called, you know… character evolution, and parallels.

I would just like to add that Peeta and Prim share a lot of similarities personality-wise. They are both sunny, optimistic people who are willing to see the good in the world even in the crappy world that is Panem. They also seem to be more aware of themselves and the world around them and actually help Katniss have insights about herself and the situations around her.
In fact, Katniss is very self-centered in the beginning of the series. Her whole focus was in keeping herself and Prim alive. Nothing more, nothing less. The rooftop conversation with Peeta actually showcased her narrow worldview. Even though she understood what Peeta said she still dismissed it by keeping her sight in returning to Prim. Only after her alliance with Rue who was a proxy for Prim and her death that she grasped the real meaning behind Peeta’s words about identity and individuality. This broadening of her worldview is displayed not only with the nightlock bluff but also with her opening emotionally to other people: Peeta, Haymitch, Cinna, Finnick, Johanna. She starts to care about others’ wellbeing besides Prim and Peeta is the very first that manages to pierce her walls exactly because of his resemblance to her. Her willingness to sacrifice herself for Peeta parallels her volunteering for Prim, except that she actively chose to care for him.

First of all, everyone should know that I DO NOT OWN THIS TEXT. The only thing that i did was trying to translate (sorry if this have any grammatical error) - It’s another analysis made by a woman call Inna Puchkin Ievitich and i think that every HHr should read this. :D I’ll translate the best parts.
————————————
The constant trivial discussions between Ron and Hermione, for example, represent for some people a sign of a “loving tension” not resolved, however for others reveal the simple incompatibility of genius and the ideological conflict between the characters - further reinforcing the idea that Ron and Hermione don’t keep the affinities between them, necessary for a healthy love relationship and that make them more like brothers, taking the example of the relationship that Ron has with his sister Gina, wich Ron feel jelous, kind of childish jelousy, and who also he rubs (the same way as he does with Hermione), without represent an incestuous relationship between them (and in case of Hermione, doesn’t represent “sexual attraction”, “animal magnetism”, “romance” or “tension loving”).
If some defends the idea that Ron and Hermione are opposites and opposites complement each other, others see flaws in this theory, that oversimplifies the truth behind the complex interpersonal relationships. Carried by their senseless fights, Ron and Hermione are very similar in the stubbornness - Both are equal not only in the stubbornness but in fact that they don’t have mental tune, behavioral and emotional - unlike Harry and Hermione, who, throughout history, have deepened the relationship by establishing a link ‘spiritual’ increasingly strong (this can be proven from the close reading, not shallow and callous, of the books), as they mature and are improving the knowledge they have of each other.
Complementary opposites, Harry and Hermione are all to be, since they have characteristics that complement each other when they’re together: he, strength and she, intellect; he, the determined attitude and she the weighted attitude; he, the momentum and she, the prudence; he, the boundless courage and she, the reasoned courage; he, the safety and security that she needs, and she, the source of knowledge and understanding that he needs; he, sensitive to skin surface and she, the reason that balances the emotion. Not to mention the fact that Hermione has become more and more the reference for Harry and his main support, both moral and emotional.
In the books it is easy to diagnose situations in which Harry and Hermione seem to have a tune that is so necessary to the couples. In the five books is even easier to find situations of concern and affection of Harry with Hermione, and her with him, than Ron with Hermione. Most demonstrations of insensitivity and immaturity for Hermione are, indeed, made by Ron. A clear example of the love life incompatibility of Ron and Hermione is seen in the third book, when Harry receives the Firebolt back that had been confiscated by prof. Minerva for inspection after the conversation he had with Hermione. The first thing that Harry does when he recover his broom is suggest to Ron try to make peace with Hermione (because, for most hurt that Harry has been with her, he understood her attitude and the purity of her intentions ). When they found Hermione isolated and overlooking the books and scrolls, Harry and Ron have entirely different attitudes. While Ron admires the Firebolt and climbs into the bedroom taking the firebolt with him “as if made of glass,” Harry admires Hermione. He turns to her and start a friendly conversation. He ask to sit beside her and watches her closely - something that he couldn’t do while they were away from each other, more by her reluctance to stay away from him and Ron. In contemplating her near, Harry realizes that she is visibly exhausted, looking as tired as the prof. Lupin, in comparison. Worried about Hermione, Harry suggested her to suspend one or two disciplines. And where Ron was all this time? In the bedroom … “Dating” a broom.
For these and many other displays of “affection” of Ron and Hermione is that many support the idea that he don’t deserve her and they aren’t made for each other, and she should find someone, perhaps, this one is Harry Potter.

Lawd, someone hold me.

Fantastic, but..uhmm.Gina tho…sorry
